Wednesday Hodgepodge Love

1. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln,Thomas Jefferson...who would you most like to meet and why?
Thomas Jefferson- he was the primary author of the Declaration of Independence, had a lot to do with drafting the Constitution and I think he'd have some choice words for the people in office today...

2. What's your favorite chain restaurant?
I like Chili's and Peter and I go there every now and then. I dislike it more these days since they started adding the calorie counts to every item on the menu (who's idea was that?) which only makes me feel guilty for ordering their insanely tasty skillet queso.

3.When you look back on your life do you imagine you'll think about the goals you failed to meet with regret? Or will you look at what you accomplished and say it was good?
My goals and plans for my life have changed countless times over the years. What I thought I wanted "back then" is drastically different from where my life has taken me but I have no regrets because I know that God is in control and he has way better plans for me than any goals I could set for myself!

4.Grapefruit-take 'em or leave 'em? Given the choice between an orange and a grapefruit which would you choose? Would you prefer it served as is or squeezed into juice?
I'll take it anyway you serve it! I love the tartness of grapefruit cut with a little bit of sugar sprinkled on top for breakfast!

5. When was the last time you cleaned out a closet? Is there a closet in your home that currently needs cleaning? What are you waiting for?
I actually cleaned out my bedroom closet not that long ago (before my mom came to visit-so she wouldn't see how messy I'd let it get). I will definitely be cleaning it out again as the weather gets warmer and chucking any winter clothes that I didn't wear this season. I actually love spring cleaning/ purging!

6. You get to have lunch with three famous people...who would you like to see round your table?
I never can come up with a good/original answer- Princess Kate (I think we would just be the best of friends), Giada deLaurentis (she makes yummy food and her husband works for anthropologie and I bet she could hook me up!), Jim Rayburn if he was still around today (founder of Young Life- aka the man!)

7. On a scale of 1-10 how would you rate your ability to parallel park?
I give myself a 5. Which means it could go either way. Some days I can whip it into a spot in one shot. Other days....

8. Peter absolutely spoiled me yesterday. We don't really do the whole big Valentines experience but that didn't stop him from buying me beautiful roses (which I hauled into work today so I can enjoy them longer), and chocolate covered strawberries!

  3. Hahaha...I just made that comment about Chilis to someone yesterday! It just sort of puts a bummer into eating out...which is rare for us anyway. Your roses are beautiful!

  5. You remind me so much of your Momma in your writing and that's a big compliment! Sounds like Peter is a definite "keeper." Happy rest of the week!
