It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

I am linking up at my mom's blog for the Wednesday Hodgepodge!

1. Will you be hosting any house guests between now and the end of December? Does that thought make you happy or crazy? Do you do anything special to make your house guests feel welcome? How long should a guest stay?
This year I am still technically a "guest." I will hosted at my parents along with my mom's side of the family. It's strange to think that one day (in the very distant future) I may be hosting Christmas at my own house and this time of year would make me feel more crazy as I prepared for a house-ful of family and friends. But for now I like being the one coming to visit. My mom always buys cereal that she knows I like and usually puts a couple good magazines and a little treat for me in my room. And as far as how long should a guest stay? Well I'm pretty sure my parents would be ok with me moving back in forever.

2. Walter Elias Disney was born this week back in (Dec 5) 1905...what's your all time favorite Disney movie? Here's a list in case you're struggling...and yes, you have to pick one.
My favorite Disney movie of all time is The Little Mermaid. Hands down. No questions about it.

3.What's the last thing you purchased that you realized was a mistake after the fact?
I bought a pair of shoes once and thought they fit just right in the store but the first time I wore them my feet were like "NO WAY girlfriend- this is not happening!"

4.What percentage of your Christmas shopping is done online?
I do probably 60% online. It's easier than braving the parking lots and shopping malls.

5. Amaryllis...snowdrop...poinsettia...your favorite winter blossom?
I like snowdrops. Their name is darling and sounds like a wintery candy. And that's pretty much what they look like as well.

6.What is one thing on your personal wish list this year? I think we all want peace on earth so let's make this an actual item.
This may not seem that fun but I asked for a queen size mattress.

7. If you could only use one word today what would it be?
Positive. I am going to be positive today, about my job mostly. It's been frustrating me lately so in the words of Barney from How I Met Your Mother:

Not that I'm sad but like I said I'm having a tricky time staying positive about my job this week so instead of being negative I'm just going to be awesome/positive instead!

8. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in my house:

Last night my roommates and I decorated our tree, listened to Pandora Christmas radio, and had some eggnog. My one roommate and I both have a large collection of ballet ornaments so our tree is covered in glass ballerinas and tiny ballet slippers. All three of us went to the same university so there are also a couple ornaments from there. I think it looks beautiful and I was pretty pleased with how full it is!

  1. First off-YES you surely can live with us forever : ) teehee. I can't wait to be a guest in your future home and play with all my future blonde headed blue eyed grandbabies. Or brown headed brown eyed. Either way is fine by me.

Your tree is pretty! I like your word for the day-its a good one. And now I will commence singing...'This little light of mine...I'm gonna let it shine...." I know you get it : )
