Sorority Wedding Weekend

This is a picture heavy post about my weekend....

I left work and scooted my booty through the metro and the Amtrak station and onto a flight to SC. I got in at 10 and took the hotel shuttle downtown to meet up with my girls. Fortunately I had rolled my hair that morning so all I had to do was through on my going-out clothes and freshen up my make up. We took some pics and headed out!

It's so nice to be reunited with my besties and be able to pick up right where we left off.

On Saturday morning we woke up and drove to campus. Any visit to college town requires a walk around the lake!

Yes that is my campus! Do you see why it's hard to leave here?

After our walk, and a quick stop by sister's apartment so a certain friend (who forgot her dress bag and all her clothes) could borrow a dress, we headed back to the hotel to get ready.

We felt a little rushed but there is always time for pictures.
(Me and my hott date)

The ceremony was beautiful but I don't have any pictures from there because I don't think it would have been very classy for me to stand up in and snap a photo mid vows. But I did get plenty of pictures of the bride! Here is a portion of my extended sorority family-which happens to includes the beautiful bride!

Of course we made the band take a break and put on the Adpi song (or as you might know it, Ain't No Mountain High Enough).

We danced until our feet hurt and the wedding planner ushered us out to say goodnight to the newlyweds...

I went back to the hotel to put on flippy floppys and then headed back out to spend as much time as possible with my friends knowing we'd have to wait for the next wedding or homecoming to all be together again.

(Oh, and Peter was there too.)

So since my roommate had driven to SC on Thursday, I decided to road trip it back up with her instead of flying. We hung around college-town and took our time getting on the road. We had a leisurely lunch at one of our favorite local spots where we mostly talked about how much we love college-town and how blessed we are to have such amazing friends. Then we grabbed milkshakes at another hang out before loading up the car and heading out.

Fortunately there was plenty of traffic to slow us down and to lead us on a wild detour which included roomie's first trip to a Piggly Wiggly- she bought a Frisbee.

Roomie untagged this photo of her Facebook. I don't know why she bothers since I've warned her they will end up on my blog anyway.

Not too long after we passed this crazy-mobile (I believe those are 2 giant stuffed white gorillas), we finally made it back to DC. Neither of us were all that happy to be back. It was such a fun weekend! I'll leave you with one more pic from the wedding...

Cheese!
