Put down the gun!

We still need to confirm/arrange/book:
the church
the band
the videographer
the stationer
the rentals
the flowers
the cake...

The guest list has grown quite large and the to do list even larger.
But it's all good. It's all coming together. I'm having so much fun checking things off.

And this weekend I checked off a BIG one...I registered!

I took my friend as a stand-in for T.J. and hit the trifecta of registry stores: Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma, and Bed, Bath & Beyond. It was so fun to pick out things that will fill the cabinets, and closets, and tabletops in our home. I tried to pick pieces that I think both T.J. and I will like, though I'm not sure he'd agree that we need the 12 adorable juice glasses that I picked out, or the ceramic garlic keeper, or the linen napkins...

But I walked up and down the aisles and daydreamed about hosting dinner parties with those very napkins paired with our new dishes, and cooking our first Thanksgiving turkey in my very own roasting pan, and folding clean towels for visiting guests.

It was just such a fun day! And while I'm so bummed that T.J. didn't get to do it with me, at least he can look at our list online and make sure he likes all my choices. Plus I know we'll have a blast unwrapping and unpacking our new housewares together out in Washington.
